Challenge
A global financial services company required a flexible reporting solution to address diverse reporting needs across its teams.
The goal was to develop a Configurable Reporting Solution that allowed users to self-modify report layouts, data sources, and formatting (font, color, logo, signature) — reducing dependency on IT for report customizations. The solution needed to handle strict financial services security requirements, complex data models with multiple sources, and high-volume statement generation during peak compensation cycles.
Approach
We designed and built a configurable reporting platform using .
NET with RDLC Reporting, Azure BLOB storage, and Microsoft SQL Server. The solution empowers users to modify report headers, footers, colors, fonts, and data sources without compromising standardization or compliance. Each business unit can create and modify reports by adjusting configurations to suit their specific domain requirements. We optimized the system for high-performance bulk statement generation and implemented client-specific reporting capabilities for personalized data presentations.
Outcome
Tasks that previously required a month of IT involvement can now be completed by users in an hour — a dramatic improvement in operational efficiency.
Business units gained independence in report customization while maintaining compliance standards.
