Challenge
Horse Fax Co, a US-based horse trading company, faced a persistent and costly problem: fraud and forgery in horse ownership records.
Traditional paper-based or centralized digital records were easy to manipulate, leaving buyers with no reliable way to verify a horse's ownership history, lineage, or transaction provenance.
The company needed a solution that could establish immutable, transparent, and verifiable ownership — one that could not be forged, disputed, or tampered with — while enabling seamless buying and selling over the internet.
Approach
We designed and built a blockchain-native platform where each horse is minted as a unique NFT on the Ethereum Mainnet.
Ownership of a horse is represented directly on-chain, making it publicly verifiable, transferable, and permanently recorded. Smart contracts were developed in Solidity, covering NFT minting, ETH-based purchases, and ownership transfers.
An administrative panel was built to allow the Horse Fax Co team to register new horse entries, manage metadata, and deploy horses to the Ethereum network with minimal friction. The frontend integrated Web3.js to connect buyers' wallets, enabling seamless ETH transactions directly from the browser.
Security was treated as a first-class concern throughout. We performed a thorough smart contract audit, implemented wallet-based authentication to control access, and applied protections against re-entrancy attacks and double-spend exploits — ensuring the contracts were production-safe before Mainnet deployment.
Outcome
Horse Fax Co now operates a fully on-chain marketplace where every horse has a tamper-proof ownership record backed by the Ethereum blockchain.
Buyers can independently verify any horse's full transaction history without relying on third parties.
Fraud and forgery risks that plagued the traditional market are eliminated by design — not by policy. The platform deployed successfully to Ethereum Mainnet with audited smart contracts, giving Horse Fax Co a credible, secure, and modern foundation to scale their trading operations.
